This workshop showed practical examples of central government, local government and others working together on economic development in a community of place. Using Opotiki plans for development through aquaculture as a case study, the seminar presented some current New Zealand experience. Learnings from Canada were introduced, and ideas about how our practices for working together with communities around complex issues can be improved was discussed.
